LOASBY’S “WAHOO” MANUFACTURING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” that a General Meeting of the shareholders of the abovenamed company will be held in the office of Harty and Co., Bond Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 20th day of March, 1903, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the liquidation thereof, shall be disposed of.

Dated at Dunedin, this 9th day of January, 1903.

In the matter of the Lyttelton Gas, Coal, and Coke Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the abovenamed company, duly convened, and held at the office of the Alliance Assurance Company (Limited), situate in Hereford Street, in the City of Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 9th day of December, 1902, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place on Monday, the 29th day of December, 1902, the following resolution was duly confirmed, that is to say, “That the Lyttelton Gas, Coal, and Coke Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.” And at such last-mentioned meeting PERCY J. FRYER, of Prebbleton, and E. R. WEBB, of Christchurch, were appointed Liquidators for the purposes of the winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and “The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,” and its amendments, a poll of ratepayers was taken on the 7th January, 1903, in the matter of raising the sum of two hundred pounds (£200) on mortgage towards the erection of the proposed Library, Council Offices, and Assembly Hall, with the following result:—

Votes recorded against the proposal .. 47
Informal votes .. .. .. 2
Majority against the proposal .. 6 votes.

I therefore declare the proposal defeated.

BOROUGH OF CAVERSHAM.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1894”; and in the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Caversham has resolved to widen Bay View Road and Forbury Road at the junction of the said roads, as shown by the survey of Nathaniel Paterson, and indicated by a red colour in the plan prepared by him, dated 11th November, 1902, and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin as Number T.129, and for such purpose to take, under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts, all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing seven poles and seven-tenths of a pole, more or less, being part of section numbered Fifty, Block Seven, Town District, bounded as follows: Towards the north by allotment numbered One on the plan of the Township of St. Clair extension, 100·7 links; towards the east-south-east by Bay View Road, 12·7 links; towards the south-east by the same
