Kauri Timber for Sale by Auction at Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned kauri timber, standing on the Tangihua State Forest, Blocks I., III., and VII., Tangihua Survey District, Hobson County, will be offered for sale by public auction, at this office, on Friday, the 17th day of April, 1903, at 11 o'clock a.m.

Lot No. 1: 690 green trees, containing about 2,678,945 sup. ft.; 41 dry trees, containing about 60,934 sup. ft.: total, 2,739,879 sup. ft. Upset price, £2,739 18s.

Lot No. 2: 1,247 green trees, containing about 4,135,861 sup. ft.; 21 dry trees, containing about 62,284 sup. ft.: total, 4,198,145 sup. ft. Upset price, £4,198 3s.

Lot No. 3: 684 green trees, containing about 2,468,221 sup. ft.; 195 dry trees, containing about 389,279 sup. ft.: total, 2,857,500 sup. ft. Upset price, £2,857 10s.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4: One-third of the purchase-money to be paid in cash or by marked cheque on the fall of the hammer; one-third payable within six months; the balance payable within twelve months from date of sale.

Lots 5, 6, and 7: One-half of the purchase-money to be paid in cash or by marked cheque on the fall of the hammer; the balance payable within six months from date of sale. All balances outstanding at date of sale to be supported by promissory notes.

Time for Removal.— Lots 1, 3, and 4: All timber to be removed within three years from date of sale. Lot 2: Within four years. Lots 5 and 6: Within two years. Lot 7: Within one year. Subject also to any special conditions.

Rural Lands in the Southland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned Crown lands will be open for sale or selection, in terms of section 136 of “The Land Act, 1892,” either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on Wednesday, the 29th day of April, 1903.

If more than one application is received for the same section on the same day, priority of selection shall be decided by ballot.

NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of Wharetoto Nos. 5 and 6, and of the application of John Edward Grace under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS the above application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report: And whereas on the subdivision of the Wharetoto Block it appears to have been the intention of the Court to include in Wharetoto No. 5 the spot known as Maruanui, or Cox’s Homestead: And whereas, through an error in the description of the boundary, that portion of the block was included in Wharetoto No. 6: And whereas on the said inquiry it was arranged by consent of all parties that the said boundary should be altered in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the boundary-line of Wharetoto No. 5 be amended by a continuation of the western boundary at the northern end in a northerly direction to such a distance that a line thence running due east will pass half a chain south of the site of the house erected by the Bank of New Zealand, such line to be continued due east and thence south, as laid down in Mr. Mitchell’s amended survey; and that the partition orders dated the 12th day of March, 1897, ascertaining the title to Wharetoto Nos. 5 and 6 respectively, be amended accordingly.
