ANAMA ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the above Road Board proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Anama Road District, and for this purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and that a plan showing the said lands, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands, so far as they can be ascertained, has been deposited at the Anama Homestead, Anama, and is now open for inspection.

All persons affected are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said works or the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the 27th day of November, 1902, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the said Road Board, at its office, Anama Homestead.

NOTICE UNDER SUBSECTION (4) OF SECTION 10.

IN pursuance of the provisions contained in subsection (4) of section 10 of “The Companies Act Amendment Act, 1900,” the Mokau Shipping Company (Limited), No. 9 of 1897, is now struck off the Register, and the said company is dissolved.

PASSED BY THE FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL, 8TH NOVEMBER, 1902.

THAT in response to a petition signed by a majority of ratepayers in the Dry River Water-race District, this Council appoints Messrs. Thomas Kennedy, Murdoch McLeod, Arthur Robinson, Thomas Greenaway, and Henry Hawtin Managing Ratepayers of the Dry River Water-race, and to have full powers of management of such water-race.

I hereby certify the foregoing special order was duly passed in conformity with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, payable in advance. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
