Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and three; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Weighted with £47 4s., valuation for house, fencing, orchard, and grassing. Forest and open land of good quality; undulating, and well watered. Access by road, about eight miles from Okaihau.

Heavy mixed-forest land, with scattered kauri; patches of limestone. About nine miles from Peria by bridle-road, and six miles from Mangamuka.

Mixed-forest land, broken, but good pastoral land, and well watered; bounded on three sides by formed horse-road—Karioi to Waitetuna. About twelve miles from Raglan.

Chiefly undulating, with patches of mixed forest; portion hilly; contains about 11,000 superficial feet kauri timber. Situated eight miles from Mangonui.

Heavy mixed-forest land of fair quality. Situated in Fairburn Settlement, about one mile from post-office.

Deep alluvial swamp, containing flax; fronts the Mangatawhiri River. About six miles from Mercer.

Open, undulating land. About seven miles from Ohinewai Railway-station.

Undulating fern land; medium quality. About fourteen miles from Ohinewai.

Swamp land of inferior quality. About six miles from Te Puke and twelve miles from Tauranga.

Undulating forest land, fronting Wainui River. About sixteen miles from Mangonui and seventeen miles from Whangaroa.

About 30 acres open land, balance mixed forest; soil of good quality. Situated about three miles from Pirongia Township.
