Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Mataongaonga Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Mataongaonga Road District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and seventy-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Mataongaonga Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Road Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Road Board.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, in the Ikitara Survey District, containing 1 rood 9·7 perches, more or less, being portions of Lots 60, 61, 65, and 66 of Section 90, portion of a private road, and another portion of said Section 90, in Block I. in said survey district. Bounded on the north and north-east by said Lots 60, 61, 65, and 66, said private road, and said Section 90, distances of 131·1 links, 864 links, and 130 links respectively; and on the south-west by the Eastown Road, a distance of 1117·8 links: as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 11316, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

Notice declaring Portion of Land at Wanganui taken for a Railway to be retained as Part of such Railway.

NOTICE.
WHEREAS certain land described in the Schedule hereto, being a portion of Reserve B, situated in the Borough of Wanganui, was (with other land, part of said Reserve B) taken for the purposes of the Waitara-Wanganui Railway by a Proclamation, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25, of the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and two: And whereas it is found desirable that the residue of the land taken by the said Proclamation, but not described in the Schedule hereto, should cease to be a part of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and sixty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” do hereby notify and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be retained as part of the aforesaid Waitara-Wanganui Railway, and that the residue of the land (other than that described in the said Schedule) taken by the aforesaid Proclamation shall again become a part of the Crown land from which it was originally taken by such Proclamation.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land, containing 2 roods 6·3 perches, more or less, being a portion of Reserve B in the Borough of Wanganui, and being bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of said Reserve B; thence northerly by a line at a bearing of 20° 45′ a distance of 49·7 links; thence north-westerly by a line at a bearing of 306° 10′ a distance of 599·05 links; thence southerly by a line at a bearing of 182° 48′ a distance of 92·6 links; thence south-easterly by a line at a bearing of 126° 10′ a distance of 513·05 links; and thence easterly by a line at a bearing of 95° 57′ a distance of 71·15 links to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly shown coloured red on the plan marked 11297 in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and two.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road in Pakiri Survey District, Rodney County, hereinafter described, that is to say,—

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and of the mortgagee of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and with the consent of the Waitara West Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the lands hereinafter mentioned.
