WHEREAS by “The Electoral Act, 1902,” it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may appoint such Registrars, Returning Officers, Clerks, and other officers as are required to carry the provisions of the said Act into execution, and that every person so appointed shall hold office during the Governor’s pleasure:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby appoint each of the undermentioned persons respectively to be a Returning Officer for the election of Members of the House of Representatives for the electoral district the name of which is placed opposite the name of such person:—

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by “The Electoral Act, 1902,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places for the electoral districts the names of which are therein specified.
