Lands taken for Road Purposes in Taringatura Survey District,
Wallace County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1894,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit,
for the purpose of a public road, in the Wallace County :
And whereas the Wallace County Council has laid
before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map,
and also the statutory declaration required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of
the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette the lands
mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the
purpose of a public road.

All in the Southland Land District; as the said parcels of
land are more particularly delineated on the plans deposited
in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Land District, and thereon marked and
coloured as above stated.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this seventeenth day of September, in
the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and two.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the owner of the land
hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Akitio
County Council, being the local authority in whose district
the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim
as taken for a road the land in the Mount Cerberus Survey
District hereinafter described, that is to say,—
