Temporarily reserving Lands in the Wellington Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the ends of the descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 7b, Block XIV., Maungakaretu Survey District. Bounded towards the north by road reserve along the Turakina River; towards the east and south by Turakina Valley Road; towards the south-west by Section No. 5A, Block XIII., Maungakaretu Survey District; and towards the west by road reserve along the Turakina River: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48322, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For growth and preservation of timber.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 7A, Block XIV., Maungakaretu Survey District. Bounded towards the north by road reserve along the Turakina River; towards the east by Okoka Stream and Turakina Valley Road; towards the south by Turakina Valley Road; and towards the west by road reserve along the Turakina River: excepting from the above-described area a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48322, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For growth and preservation of timber.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 61 acres 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5A, Block XIII., Maungakaretu Survey District. Bounded towards the west and north-west generally by road reserve along the Turakina River; towards the north-east by Section No. 7B, Block XIV., Maungakaretu Survey District, and the Turakina Valley Road; towards the south-east by the Turakina Valley Road; and towards the south-west by Section No. 4 of the said Block XIII.: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48322, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For growth and preservation of timber.

Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 15; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south by Murray’s Track; and towards the west by Section No. 3, Block XVI., Maungakaretu Survey District. For a recreation reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 4, Block VII., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 3; towards the south-east by a public road; towards the south-west by Section No. 5; and towards the north-west by Section No. 1. For primary-education reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Section No. 24, Suburbs of Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the east by Kakariki Road; towards the south-east by the said Kakariki Road; and towards the north-west by road reserve along the Hautapu River. For primary-education reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block X., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Tihoi Street; towards the north-east by Section No. 6; towards the south-east by Turehu Street; and towards the south-west by Section No. 4. For municipal reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block IV., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 6; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by Section No. 9; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 8 and 5. For municipal reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 15 and 16, Block IV., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 12; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 14, 17, and 18; towards the south-east by a public road; and towards the south-west by North Island Main Trunk Railway-line. For police reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block I., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by public road; towards the north-east by the North Island Main Trunk Railway-line; towards the south-east by Section No. 2; and towards the west by a public road. For growth and preservation of scenery.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block I., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 2; towards the north-east by the North Island Main Trunk Railway-line; towards the south-east by Section No. 4; and towards the south-west by a public road. For primary-education reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 23 perches, more or less, being Section No. 17, Block II., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road; towards the east by a public road; and towards the south-west by the North Island Main Trunk Railway-line. For growth and preservation of scenery.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 4, Block III., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 3; towards the north-east by Section No. 7; towards the south-east by Section No. 5; and towards the south-west by a public road. For municipal reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2, Block IV., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by road reserve along the Hautapu River; towards the east by Section No. 3; towards the south by Section No. 5; and towards the west by Section No. 1. For primary-education reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block IV., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 8; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 9, 11, and 13; towards the south-east by Section No. 12; and towards the south-west by a public road. For primary-education reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 11, Block IV., Mataroa Township, Ohinewairua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 9; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by Section No. 13; and towards the south-west by Section No. 10. For public-hall reserve.
