Vesting Control of the Akitio Bridge in the Weber Road Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fourteen of “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor may, upon the terms and conditions in the said section mentioned, by Proclamation publicly notified, direct that any bridge already constructed, or which may hereafter be constructed, over or across any river or arm of the sea respectively shall, from and after a date to be fixed in such Proclamation, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of such local authority as shall be mentioned in that behalf in such Proclamation:
And whereas it is expedient to make provision under the said Act for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and direct that the bridge known as the Akitio Bridge, described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the date of this Proclamation, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Weber Road Board.
SCHEDULE.
THE bridge over the Akitio River at the junction of the Alfredton–Weber Road deviation with the Dannevirke to Herbertville Road, between Section 68, Block V., and Section 8, Block III., Weber Survey District, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked R. 1048, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

Closing Portion of a Government Road in the Makotuku Survey District, Rangitikei County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection three, of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road, or any part thereof; and whereas those portions of the Government road described in the Schedule hereto are no longer required for the purposes of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the above in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Makotuku Survey District hereinafter described.
