Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Boroughs of Temuka and South Invercargill, and in the Howick Township Road District.—Notice No. 721.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the undermentioned local governing bodies have, by special order, declared the plants enumerated opposite each to be noxious weeds within the meaning of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” in the district under the jurisdiction of each respectively:—

Temuka Borough Council Bathurst burr, broom, giant burdock, gorse, hakea, ragwort, ox-eye daisy.
South Invercargill Borough Council Broom, gorse, ragwort, dock.
Howick Township Road Board Gorse.

Notifying Persons elected to serve as Members of Waikato District Maori Land Council.
IN pursuance of a writ under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, bearing date the 4th day of July, 1902, and issued under the provisions of “The Maori Lands Administration Act, 1900,” and the regulations thereunder, it is hereby notified that the undermentioned persons were nominated as candidates for the election of three members to serve on the Waikato District Maori Land Council, as constituted by the said Act, viz:—
(1.) MARE TERETIU.
(2.) HARE TEIMANA.
(3.) WIRIHANA TE AOTERANGI.
And, further, it is hereby declared that the said Mare Teretiu, Hare Teimana, and Wirihana te Aoterangi (being the only persons so nominated) have been duly elected members of the Waikato District Maori Land Council.

NOTICE is hereby given that the registration of the Otahuhu Operative Tailors’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 192, situated at Otahuhu, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application on that behalf made to me by the Hauraki Peninsula Engineers, Engine-drivers, and Firemen’s Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 172, situated at Waihi, the registration of that industrial union will be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within the six weeks specified proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having some claim on the funds of the industrial union to set aside such cancellation, and the same is set aside accordingly.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 20 of “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1901,” the registration of the Wellington Coopers and Boxmakers’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 209, situated at Wellington, will be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within such period it is shown that such union has not ceased to exist.

NOTICE is hereby given that the kauri and totara timber on the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction at this office on Thursday, the 23rd day of October, 1902, at 11 o’clock a.m.
SCHEDULE.
SECTION 48, Parish of Maungataniwha, Mangonui County: About 60 dry kauri-trees, containing 262,332 superficial feet; 80 green kauri-trees, containing 372,953 superficial feet; and 15 totara-trees, containing 12,038 superficial feet. Upset price, £482 9s.
Terms of Sale: One-half of purchase-money in cash or by marked cheque on the fall of the hammer, balance within six months thereafter. Time allowed for removal of timber, twelve months from date of sale.
