A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the owner of the land
hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Council
of the County of Hobson, being the local authority in whose
district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby
proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE.
The parcel of land mentioned hereunder :—

ticularly delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the
Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon marked and coloured as above
mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this eighteenth day of August, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and two.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the twentieth section of “The Mining
Act, 1898,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto is hereby set apart for the discharge of water, tail-
ings, and refuse from the workings and mining operations
adjacent to the said land.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Colony of New Zea-
land, containing by admeasurement 9 acres and 27 perches,
more or less, situate in Blackstone District, being part of
Section No. 5 (part of 5), Block VIII., on the map of the
said district. Bounded towards the north-west by other
part of the said Section 5, 1304·5 links; towards the north-
east by a road-line, 717·7 links; towards the east by Crown
lands, 581·5 links; towards the south by other part of the
said Section 5, 522·6 links; towards the south-east by other
part of the said Section 5, 623·8 links and 839 links; and
towards the west by Crown lands, 621 links: excepting out
of the above description area marked “Creek Reserve”
(3 acres 1 rood 30 perches): as shown on the public map
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of
“The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ran-
furly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Wednesday and Friday, the twenty-ninth
and thirty-first days of October respectively, one thousand
nine hundred and two, as the times at which the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction at Auckland and Rotorua; and I do hereby fix the
prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those men-
tioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description
of such lands respectively.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
the purpose of a Native-school site in Block IX., Tatu
Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners, and the title thereto is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in
duplicate, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The
Public Works Act, 1894”:
