River to the easternmost corner of Section No. 96, Block XIV., Mangahao Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 96 to the main road, Masterton to Pahiatua; thence by a right line across that road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 97; thence by that section and Sections Nos. 100, 111, and 81 of the said Block XIV. to Central Road; thence by the said Central Road to Section No. 77, Block XIII., Mangahao Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 77 to the Mangahao River; thence by a right line across that river to the easternmost corner of Section No. 10 of the said Block XIII.; thence by that section and Sections Nos. 9, 8, 13, and 21 to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line through the Forest Reserve to Arawaru Trig. Station: and thence towards the north-west by the summit of the Tararua Range and the leading spur to the Manawatu River at The Gorge; thence by a line across that river to the spur leading to the Ruahine Range; and thence by that spur and the summit of the Ruahine Range to the Waipawa Electoral District aforesaid.
MASTERTON.
This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Pahiatua Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the summit of the Tararua Range to the north-eastern corner of the Whakataki Native Reserve on the east coast: thence towards the south-east by the sea to the Whareama River: thence towards the south-west generally by the said Whareama River to the confluence of the Mangapokia River with the said Whareama River; thence by the said Mangapokia River to Section No. 240, Block III., Rewa Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 240, and Sections Nos. 260, 261, 739, 620, 619, and 618, all of the said Rewa Survey District, to the Mangapakeha Stream; thence by that stream and by Sections Nos. 617, 522, 521, and 520, the southern boundary-line of Section No. 518, Block XIII., Mangapakeha Survey District, and by Section No. 524 of the said Rewa Survey District; thence by Section No. 523, Block IV., Otahoua Survey District, the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 866 of the said Mangapakeha Survey District, and the southern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 98 and 97, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 92 and 96, Block IV., Otahoua Survey District, to the Taueru River; thence by the right bank of the said Taueru River to the Teroterowetu Creek; thence by that creek to the Bideford Road: thence again towards the south-east by that road as far as the Wangaehu River; thence by the said Wangaehu River to its confluence with the Ruamahanga River; thence by the said Ruamahanga River to its confluence with the Waingawa River: thence again towards the south-west by the said Waingawa River to its source: thence by a line due west to the summit of the Tararua Range: and thence towards the north-west by the summit of the Tararua Range and the Manawatu Electoral District hereinafter described to the Pahiatua Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.
WAIRARAPA.
This district is bounded towards the north-east and north generally by the Masterton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the summit of the Tararua Range to the Whareama River on the east coast; thence towards the south-east and south-west by the sea to Cape Turakirae; and thence towards the north-west by the summit of the Rimutaka Range and the summit of the Tararua Range to the Masterton Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement.
EGMONT.
This district is bounded towards the north and north-east by the Waikato Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the sea-coast at the south-western boundary-line of the Moeatoa Block near Tirua Point to the mouth of the Waihora Stream in Lake Taupo: thence towards the south-east by the western shore of Lake Taupo to the mouth of the Tokaanu Stream; thence by a right line to the summit of Tongariro Mountain: thence towards the south-west by a right line to the eastern corner of the Kirikau Block; thence by the north-western boundary of that block to the Wanganui River: thence again towards the south-east by the Wanganui River to the 39th parallel of south latitude: thence towards the south by the said 39th parallel of south latitude to the line known as the confiscation line: thence again towards the south-east generally by the confiscation line to the Te Wera Road; thence by the said Te Wera Road and by the road intersecting Section No. 13 (N.E.) of Block V., Ngatimaru Survey District, to the Waitara River; thence by the road along the right bank of the Waitara River to the Section No. 18 of Block V., Ngatimaru Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 18 and Sections Nos. 13, 9, and 7 of Block VIII., Huiroa Survey District, to the Makino Stream; thence by the right bank of the said Makino Stream to the north-western corner of Section No. 14 of Block XI. of the said Huiroa Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 14, and by Sections Nos. 25, 26, 27, 3, 15, 13, and 12 of Block XV. of Huiroa Survey District aforesaid, and by Sections Nos. 40 and 38 of Block XIV. of Huiroa Survey District aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section, and by the western boundary-line of the said Section No. 38 produced across a road to Section No. 105 of Block II., Ngaiire Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 105, and by Section No. 106 (E.R.), and by Subdivisions Nos. 6, 5, and 1 of Native Reserve, all of the said Block II., to the Borough of Stratford; thence by the Borough of Stratford, as the said borough is described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 57, 28th July, 1898, to Opunake Road; thence by Opunake Road to the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 57 (E.R.) of Block I., Ngaiire Survey District: thence towards the west by the said road and by the road forming the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 56, 55, 54, and 53A of the said Block I. to the Patea River: thence towards the south-west by the Patea River to its source; thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont: thence towards the north-west generally by a right line to the source of the Waiwakaiho; thence by the Waiwakaiho to Section No. 164 (E.R.), Hua and Waiwakaiho; thence by that section and Section No. 5 to the Mangaoraka Stream; thence by that stream to Section No. 142, Tarurutangi, Egmont Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 142 and Sections Nos. 144, 145, 146, and 147, Tarurutangi, to the Waiongona; thence by that stream to the Wanganui-New Plymouth Railway-line; thence by the western side of that railway-line to the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 204, Huirangi: thence again towards the south-east by the said Section No. 204, and again towards the south-west by the western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 203, 202, 201, 200, 199, 198, 197, 196, 195, 194, 193, 192, 191, and 190, Tarurutangi, all of Paritutu Survey District, and by the western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 4, 3, 2, 1, 86, 85, and 81, Huirangi, Paritutu Survey District, and by the western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 78, 77, 73, 68, 66, 67, and 134, Waitara West, Paritutu Survey District, to the sea: and thence again towards the north and west generally by the sea to the south-western boundary-line of the Moeatoa Block, near Tirua Point aforesaid, the place of commencement.
TARANAKI.
This district is bounded towards the north-east and south-east generally by the Egmont Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the sea at the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 134, Waitara West, to the summit of Mount Egmont: thence towards the south-west by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section No. 3 of Block XI., Cape Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 3, and by Subdivisions Nos. 10, 11, and 12 of Section No. 6 of Block X., Cape Survey District, to Carrington Road: thence towards the east by Carrington Road to Newall Road; thence by a line across Newall Road to the north-western corner of Section No. 7 (school-site) of Block XIV., Cape Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 7 and by Sections Nos. 8, 13, 18, and 23 of the said Block XIV. to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section: thence towards the north by Sections Nos. 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 of the said Block XIV., and by Section No. 5 of Block XV., Cape Survey District, to the Forest Road: thence again towards the east by Forest Road to Ngariki Road: thence towards the south by Ngariki Road to the Main South Road: thence again towards the east by the Main South Road to its junction with Manihi Road: thence again towards the south by the said Manihi Road to the sea-coast: and thence towards the west and north-west by the sea to Section No. 134, Waitara West, the place of commencement.
HAWERA.
This district is bounded towards the north-west generally and towards the north-east by the Taranaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the sea-coast at Manihi Road to the summit of Mount Egmont: thence towards the east by a right line to the north-western corner of Section No. 12 of Block VI., Kaupokonui Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 12, 14, 17, and 2 of Block VI., Kaupokonui Survey District: thence towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 2 and 3 of the said Block VI., by Sections Nos. 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 37, 36, and 35 of Block VII., Kaupokonui Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 25, 26, 27, and Subdivision 2 of Section No. 21 of Block VIII., Kaupokonui Survey District, to Finnerty Road; thence by Finnerty Road to the Waingongoro River: thence again towards the north-east generally by the said Waingongoro River to its confluence with the Mangawhero Stream; thence by the said Mangawhero Stream to Section No. 22 of Block X., Ngaiire Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 22 and by Section No. 47 of the said Block X. to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by Section No. 19 of Block XIV.,
