NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,” “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899,” and “The Public Works Act, 1894.”
N OTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of Adelaide Road and Revans Street, in the said city; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate at the corner of Brandon Street and Featherston Street, in the said city, and are open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Wellington.

N OTICE is hereby given that the order of the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, dated the 4th day of December, 1901, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £200,000 to £40,000, and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statutes, were registered by the Registrar of Joint-stock Companies on the 27th day of December, 1901. And further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following:—
“The capital of the New Zealand Trust and Loan Company (Limited and Reduced) henceforth is £40,000, divided into 40,000 ordinary shares of £1 each, instead of the previous capital of £200,000, divided into 40,000 ordinary shares of £5 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the sum of £1 has been and is to be deemed to be paid up on each of the said 40,000 ordinary shares.”
