IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Boards Election Acts, 1900 and 1901, it is hereby notified that PETER MITCHELL MACKAY, Esq.,
has been elected a member of the Education Board of the District of Auckland, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of N. A. McLeod, Esq.
The number of valid votes recorded for each candidate is as follows: For Peter Mitchell Mackay, Esq., 579; for Joseph Giles, Esq., 393; for Josiah Hudson, Esq., 200: total number of valid votes recorded, 1,172. Number of voting-papers rejected as informal, 72.

"The Friendly Societies Act, 1882."—Cancelling of Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this 27th day of May, 1902, cancelled the registry of the Aorangi Lodge, No. 314, a branch of the Wellington District, British United Order of Odd Fellows, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist as a branch, and will be separately registered.

"The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1900."—Notice of Cancellation of Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Wellington Amalgamated Restaurant and Oyster-saloon Keepers' Industrial Union of Employers, registered No. 235, situated at Wellington, the registration of that industrial union will be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within the six weeks specified proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having some claim on the funds of the industrial union to set aside such cancellation, and the same is set aside accordingly.
