CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Notifying Land in the Southland Land District subject to “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

Wellington, 26th February, 1902.
PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Glenham Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, situate in the Wyndham and Toetoes Survey Districts, containing by admeasurement 11,500 acres and 24 perches, more or less, being Lots Nos. 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, and part of No. 13, Wyndham Survey District, shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 245: also Lots Nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, Wyndham Survey District, shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 269: also Lots Nos. 20 to 36, both inclusive, Wyndham Survey District, shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 246: also Lots Nos. 1 to 5, both inclusive, of Block IV., Wyndham Survey District, and Nos. 1 to 9, both inclusive, of Block VI., of the said Wyndham Survey District, shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 350: also original Sections Nos. 3 and parts of 13 and 15 of Block V., Wyndham Survey District; original Sections Nos. 9, 25, 31, 33, and 34, Applications Nos. 6773 and 6774, and original Sections Nos. 2, 12, and 19, and parts of 21, of Block VI. aforesaid; original Sections Nos. 22 and parts of 21, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, and 30 of Block IX., Wyndham Survey District; original Sections Nos. 13 and 20 of Block VII., Wyndham Survey District; and original Sections Nos. 2, 6, 5, 3, 4, and 7 of Block XI., Wyndham Survey District, with certain strips of land, being closed roads, included in the above-mentioned area: also part of original Section No. 14 and original Section No. 15 of Block III., Toetoes Survey District: as the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19241, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Maungaraki Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 424 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, comprised in the following pieces: viz., Subdivisions Nos. 1, 2, and 6 of Maungaraki Native Reserve: also that portion of Subdivision No. 3 of the same reserve, in Block VIII., Belmont Survey District, which is bounded as follows—towards the north generally by other portion of said Subdivision No. 3, 3756 links; towards the east generally by the Maungaraki Road, 1143 links; towards the south generally by Subdivision No. 2 of the said Native reserve, 4789 links, to the middle of the Korokoro Stream; and towards the north-west by the middle of the said stream: also the portion of Section No. 79, Block XIII., Belmont Survey District, bounded as follows—towards the north-east by Subdivisions. Nos. 1 and 10 of said Native reserve, 5836 links; towards the east generally by other part of said Section No. 79, 950 links, and by Section No. 16, 1613 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 3, 5343 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 78, 1500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the said area is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 19226c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.

Land in Canterbury Land District surrendered.

IT is hereby notified that, a surrender of the lease of the undermentioned Crown land having been accepted by the Canterbury Land Board, the said land has reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Crown Lands in Hatuma Settlement, Hawke’s Bay Land District, open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned Crown lands in Hatuma Settlement will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Wednesday, the 2nd day of April, 1902, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and its amendments.

Being portion of Mr. S. Johnston’s Oruawharo Estate, situated on the main road, five miles and a half from Takapau Railway-station, and four miles and a half from Waipukurau Village and Railway-station. It is flat agricultural land, at present down in English and native grasses. It is well watered by the Maharaeke Stream. The boundary on main road and between the sections is fenced, also the south boundary of Section 7, and there is also some fencing on the Maharaeke Stream. There is a small plantation on Section 8, and a few acres of swamp, which is partly drained.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned kauri and totara timber, standing on Crown lands situated on Block XIII., Motatau, and Block X., Hukerenui, Survey Districts, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Friday, the 11th day of April, 1902, at 11 a.m.
Te Mata Forest Reserve, Block X., Hukerenui Survey District: 8 totara-trees, containing about 5,250 superficial feet; 457 kauri-trees, containing about 1,003,194 superficial feet: upset price, £757 13s.
Tokawhero Block No. 1, Block XIII., Motatau Survey District: 288 kauri-trees, containing 781,842 superficial feet; upset price, £488 13s.
Conditions of Sale.
One-half purchase-money in cash or by marked cheque on the fall of the hammer; the balance within six months thereafter.
Time for removal of timber, twelve months from date of sale.
