NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.
Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of Te Konoti A No. 1, and of the application of Maraea Ratima under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS the above application has been referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported on: And whereas it appears that on the partition of Te Konoti A it was the intention of the Court to award that portion called by the Court Te Konoti A No. 1, containing 268 acres 1 rood 24 perches, to Rapuhana Tohe, Maraea Ngaruke, and Rupene Opewai, but, in drawing up the order for the same, the name of Rupene Opewai was accidentally omitted: And whereas by reason of such omission the said Rapuhana Tohe and Maraea Ngaruke obtained 90 acres more than they were entitled to, and the owners of other portions of the block have lost in proportion:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said partition order for Konoti A No. 1 be and the same is hereby cancelled, to the intent that the Court shall, as a continuation of the proceedings on the partition of Te Konoti A, apportion the said 268 acres 1 rood 24 perches in such manner as it shall deem just amongst the persons whom it shall find to be entitled thereto.
As witness my hand, this 31st day of January, 1902.
GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
