land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Maori Hill Borough Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and lessees of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Takaka Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road through Block III., Mangatoro Survey District :
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

Amending a Proclamation.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section six of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is provided, inter alia, that any Proclamation made under this Act may be altered, amended, or revoked from time to time: And whereas it is necessary to amend the Proclamation taking land for a road-deviation through Block XIII., Maungaharuru Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County, dated twenty-fourth December, one thousand nine hundred and one, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 2, page six, of the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and two :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the said section, do hereby amend the said Proclamation by the deletion from the second column of the Schedule of same of the words, “Blocks 84 and 97, Patoka C.G. District,” and by the substitution in lieu thereof of the words, “Blocks 84, Puketapu, and 97, Patoka, C.G. Districts.”
