Defining the Middle Line of the Kawakawa Ballast-pit Siding,
Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Kawakawa ballast-pit siding on the
Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway (hereinafter
termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction
of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation
Act, 1901”: And whereas it has been determined to con-
struct and maintain the same:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by
“The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line
of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

KAWAKAWA BALLAST-PIT SIDING.

Commencing at a point in Block XV., Kawakawa Survey
District, the said point being marked 11 miles 53 chains
64 links on the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway, and pro-
ceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a
distance of about 1 mile 59 chains, and passing in, into,
through, or over the following lands—namely, Native land
and road reserves in Blocks XV. and XIV., Kawakawa
Survey District—and terminating at a point in the said
Block XIV. marked 13 miles 32 chains 64 links, including
all intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers,
streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of
Auckland: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 19665, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of
Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lngton, this sixth day of February, in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two.

Land in Nuhaka Survey District taken for Harbour
Purposes.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construc-
tion of a harbour in Nuhaka Survey District:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the issue of this Procla-
mation have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the
date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the purpose of constructing a harbour as aforesaid.

more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
19557, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured red and purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;

Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a portion of the Catlin’s-
Seaward Bush Railway—namely from Owaka to Section 20,
Block VIII., Catlin’s Survey District:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
in the manner hereby provided have been observed and
performed:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by section
one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act,
1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for
the portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
