Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Wellington, 5th February, 1902.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 13537.—13th April, 1901.—JAMES MCDONALD, of 103, Manchester Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, Labour Agent. Improved means for securing bed-clothes in position.

Claim.—The improved means for securing bed-clothes and other like articles in position consisting in the combination with a spring clip of an elastic strap that is furnished with eyelets and a buckle or hook, substantially as described, and for the purposes set forth.

No. 13555.—25th April, 1901.—THOMAS RAMSAY, of North Invercargill, New Zealand, Railway Employee. An improved combined rule measure and square.*

Claims.—(1.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical rod provided with a hollow chamber, and a pendent indicator mounted in said hollow chamber, substantially as specified. (2.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical member provided with a transparent chamber, and a pendent indicator mounted in said chamber, substantially as specified. (3.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical member provided with a transparent chamber provided with graduations, and an indicator mounted in said chamber and movable relatively to the said graduations, substantially as specified. (4.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising hollow cylindrical ends, one of which is adapted to engage a square for showing longitudinal positions, the other being provided with an indicator for showing radial positions, of the ruler, substantially as specified. (5.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical member having a hollow end provided with longitudinal graduations, a member fitting into said hollow end and provided centrally with a pivot, and a pendent indicator mounted on said pivot, substantially as specified. (6.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical member provided with a hollow end, a member fitting said end and provided with a recess for containing an adhesive material, a pivot mounted upon said member, and a pendent indicator mounted freely upon said pivot, substantially as specified. (7.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical member provided at one of its ends with screw-threads, and a substantially wedge-shaped square provided with a member adapted to be screwed into said end, substantially as specified. (8.) As an article of manufacture, a ruler comprising a cylindrical chamber and a pendent indicator of substantially anchor shape mounted therein, substantially as specified.
