Appointing Poverty Bay to be a Port for the Importation of
Playing-cards.

IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested
by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I,
Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby approve of the Port of
Poverty Bay as a port for the importation of playing-cards.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twelfth day of December, one thousand
nine hundred and two.

Regulations revoking all By-laws made by any Local Authority
under “The Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act, 1894,” “The
Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act Amendment Act, 1895,”
or “The Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act Amendment Act,
1896.”—Notice No. 745.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act,
1900” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), it is pro-
vided that the Governor may from time to time make regu-
lations for the purposes therein mentioned, and also that all
by-laws made by any local authority under any Act repealed
by the said Act shall continue in operation until revoked by
regulations under the said Act: Now, therefore, in exercise
of the hereinbefore-recited powers, His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby make
the following regulation for the purposes of the said Act,
that is to say :—

All by-laws made by any local authority under “The
Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act, 1894,” “The Abattoirs
and Slaughterhouses Act Amendment Act, 1895,” or “The
Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act Amendment Act, 1896 ”
(being the Acts repealed by the said Act), are hereby
revoked.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirteenth day of December, one thousand
nine hundred and two.

ville, in the Mokihinui and Ngakawau Survey Districts, as
