BANKRUPTCY NOTICES.

In Bankruptcy.—In the District Court of Timaru and Oamaru, held at Timaru.

NOTICE is hereby given that JOHN DANIEL COX, of Fairlie, Farmer, was this day adjudged bankrupt; and I hereby summon a meeting of creditors, to be helden at my office, at Arcade, Timaru, on Tuesday, the 9th day of December, 1902, at 2.30 o’clock.

MINING NOTICES.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments; and in the matter of the Celtic Gold-dredging Company (Limited), (in liquidation).

TAKE notice that, pursuant to section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” a general meeting of the members of the abovenamed company was held, having been duly convened, when the following resolution was unanimously passed:—

“That the accounts submitted to this meeting, and showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, be received and adopted, and that the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof be retained by the said Liquidator on his undertaking to destroy the same upon the expiration of three months after the dissolution of the company, and that the Liquidator send copy of this resolution to the Registrar of Joint-stock Companies, and gazette as required by ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”

The Chairman declared the motion carried unanimously.

In the matter of the Stillwater Creek Gold-dredging Company (Limited), (in liquidation).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the abovenamed company, held at Dunedin on Tuesday, the 11th day of November, 1902, the following special resolutions were passed:—

  1. “That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and its amendments.”

  2. “That David Larnach be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

And at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, held at Dunedin on Tuesday, the 2nd day of December, 1902, the above special resolutions were confirmed.

In the matter of the Evans Flat Dredging Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the abovenamed company, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company, Whitehaven Street, Lawrence, on Friday, 21st November, 1902, the following extraordinary resolution was confirmed:—

(1.) “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that a Liquidator be appointed for the purpose of such winding-up.

(2.) “That William Richard Pearson, of Lawrence, commission agent, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing the property thereof, at the remuneration of fifteen guineas.”

(1.) “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that a Liquidator be appointed for the purpose of such winding-up.
