LAND REFERRED TO THE NATIVE LAND COURT FOR INQUIRY UNDER SECTION 14 OF “THE NATIVE LAND COURT ACT, 1894.”
In pursuance of an Order in Council, dated as under, authorising the Native Land Court to exercise its jurisdiction under subsection (10) of section 14 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and to determine whether the said land or any part thereof was, on the investigation of title thereto, intended by the Native Land Court, or by the nominal owner or owners of such land, to be held by such nominal owner or owners in trust for Natives not named in the title, and to determine who are the Natives (if any) entitled beneficially to such land, and to order the inclusion of such Natives in the title, either together with or in lieu of the nominal owners or any of them, and for the purpose aforesaid to order the cancellation or amendment of any existing instrument of title, and the issue of such new Crown grant or other instrument of title as may be necessary, and generally to exercise in respect of the said land all the jurisdiction and powers conferred on the Native Land Court by subsection (10) of section 14 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894”:

WHEREAS, upon an application made by Te Rawha, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” affecting Te Aranui No. 1 Block, the Chief Judge, by order dated the 13th day of December, 1900, amended the partition orders relating to Aranui No. 1 and No. 1B by striking out the name appearing therein as Kutoro te Rawha and inserting the names of Kutoro and Te Rawha as those of separate owners, and further amending the said orders by striking out the definition of relative shares and interests in No. 1B, with the intent that the question might be referred to the Native Land Court to redefine the said interests in accordance with the order as amended:
Notice is hereby given that at the sitting of the Court now notified the Court will proceed to redefine the relative shares and interests in the said land.
