BOROUGH OF TAPANUI.

SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Tapanui, held, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” on the 8th day of July, 1901, the following resolution was carried unanimously:—
“That the existing wards of the borough be abolished, and that it be in future an undivided borough, but that the number of Councillors remain as at present—that is, nine Councillors.”
And notice is further given that, after advertisement in terms of the above Act, the said resolution was confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 12th day of August, 1901.

TE HORO ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A GRAVEL RESERVE IN BLOCK III., KAITAWA SURVEY DISTRICT, COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA, PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF WELLINGTON.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Te Horo Road Board, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and its amendments, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the taking of land for a gravel reserve in Block III., Kaitawa Survey District; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
Notice is further given that the plan of the said gravel reserve, and of the land so required to be taken, are deposited for inspection at the office of the Te Horo Road Board, Otaki.
And notice is further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of the said land, are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said work, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Te Horo Road Board, at their office, Otaki.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the confirmation of the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £200,000 to £40,000, effected by a special resolution of the above-named company passed on the 13th August, 1901, and confirmed on the 3rd September, 1901, was, on the 3rd October, 1901, presented to His Majesty’s High Court of Justice and is now pending, and that the list of creditors of the above-named company is to be made out as from 21st October, 1901.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
