Mining Notices.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments; and in the matter of the Metallic Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and one, presented to his Honour Mr. Justice Williams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by the Dunedin Engineering Company (Limited), a company incorporated under “The Companies Act, 1882,” having its registered office at Dunedin, a creditor of the aforesaid company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on Tuesday, the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and one, and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

SHEPHERD’S CREEK GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the office of Mr. R. T. Wheeler, jun., Colonial Mutual Buildings, Princes Street, Dunedin, on the 10th January, 1902, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the liquidation thereof, shall be disposed of.

Private Advertisements.
NOTICE is hereby given that I, CHARLES HENRY BUGLEY, of Waimate, in the Provincial District of Canterbury and Colony of New Zealand, Butcher, intend hereafter to take and desire to be known by the names of CHARLES MEYERS, in substitution for my said names of Charles Henry Bugley; and, further, that my wife (Catherine Bugley) and my children (William Henry Bugley, Percival Bugley, Catherine Bugley, and Violet Bugley) will all hereafter take the surname of Meyers in substitution for that of Bugley.

GREYMOUTH GAS COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
AT a general meeting of shareholders in the Greymouth Gas Company (Limited), (in liquidation), held on Monday, the 30th day of September, 1901, the following resolution was passed:—
“That in the opinion of this meeting the Greymouth Gas Company (Limited) has been fairly and properly wound up.”

THE NEW ZEALAND EXPRESS COMPANY (LIMITED), (BEING THE OLD COMPANY).
NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of the company, Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 20th day of December next, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon precisely, to receive the Liquidator’s report showing how the winding-up of the company has been conducted and its property disposed of, to hear any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and to pass a resolution as to the disposal of the books, accounts, and other documents of the company.

N.B.—The above notice has reference to the old company, the liquidation of which was necessary for the purposes of amalgamation with James Duthie and Co.; and the amalgamated business has been carried on continuously under the old style of the New Zealand Express Company (Limited).

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
