HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that members of the Volunteer corps may be allowed to fire the following sectional practices this year, as an alternative to “Volley and Independent Firing,” page 102, Rifle and Carbine Exercises, 1900, for capitation purposes, on suitable ranges—i.e., those provided with disappearing canvas targets. Prizes for volley and independent firing to be awarded only on results of these new practices.
