All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, con- taining by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 3, Township of Niagara, bounded towards the north by Section No. 2, 100 links; towards the east by Waikawa Terrace, 100 links; towards the west by Section No. 1, 250 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill. Notice of Intention to define the Purpose of a Reserve in the Otago Land District. RANFURLY, Governor. WHEREAS by the fifth section of 'The Public Re- serves Act, 1881,' it is, amongst other things, enacted that, if there shall at any time be any doubt or uncertainty as to the opinion of the Governor, a reserve or set apart may by notice gazetted or defined such purpose was set apart, as may either the whole or any part of such reserve, subject to the seventh section of the said Act; And whereas the area described in the Schedule hereto was reserved for fishing purposes: And whereas it is expedient to define the specific purpose for which such area shall hereafter be set apart. Now, therefore, I, Walter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor and pursuance of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by 'The Public Reserves Act, 1881,' aforesaid, declare my intention to define the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto to be a reserve for fishing purposes in the use of the aboriginal natives residing in the Taiieri Maori Village. SCHEDULE. All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 121 acres, known as or situate in Block VI., Maungatua District, and known as Tatwai Lake. Bounded towards the north, east, and west by Sections Nos. 9, 8, 54, 47, 39, 84, forming 45, 44, and 43, of Block VI., Maungatua District, 19,000 links; towards the south by road-line to bridge, 100 and 200 links,
