SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 121 acres, more or less, situate in Block VI., Maungatua District, and known as Tatawai Lake. Bounded towards the north, east, and west by road-line forming the boundaries of Sections Nos. 9, 8, 54, 47, 39, 84, 46, 45. 44. and 43, of Block VI., Maungatua District, 19,000 links; towards the south by road line to bridge, 100 and 200 links, also by small island, 2,000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin.

Notice of Intention to define the Purpose of a Reserve in the Otago Land District.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the fifth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that, if there shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be any doubt or uncertainty as to the purpose for which a reserve was set apart, he may by notice gazetted define such purpose or purposes as to either the whole or any part of such reserve, subject to the action of the General Assembly, as provided in the seventh section of the said Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was reserved for the use of aboriginal natives:
And whereas it is expedient to define the specific purpose for which such land shall hereafter be set apart:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to define the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto to be a reserve for the use of the aboriginal natives residing in the Taieri Maori village.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 2 perches, more or less, being Section No. 84, Block VI., Maungatua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 39 of same block and district, 299 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 39 of same block and district, 937 links; towards the south-east by a road-line, 557½ links; and towards the south-west by road-line around Lake Tatawai, 972 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin.

RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from and after the date hereof hares shall cease to be within the operation of the said Acts within the area described in the Schedule hereto, comprising the Ahuriri Riding and part of the Otakaika Riding, County of Waitaki.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago and Canterbury Land Districts bounded towards the east and north-east generally by the Mackenzie and Waimate Counties from the summit of the Southern Alps to the confluence of the Waitaki and Maruwhenua Rivers; thence towards the south-east and south generally by the Maruwhenua River to the source of its north branch, near Maruwhenua Pass, and thence by a right line to the said Maruwhenua Pass; thence towards the south-west and west generally by the Maniototo and Vincent Counties to the summit of the Southern Alps; and thence towards the north-west by the summit of the Southern Alps to the place of commencement.

Vaccination Districts constituted.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Governor by “The Public Health Act, 1900,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination districts known as the Raglan, Te Awamutu, Rangitikei, and Bull’s Districts, and do declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into five vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the Kawhia, Raglan, Te Awamutu, Rangitikei, and Bull’s Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Taranaki.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly set apart for a reserve for a gaol-site and other public purposes, being a reserve within Class II. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees: And whereas it is expedient that such reserve shall be appropriated for the purposes of a public recreation-ground, being a reserve in Class III. of the aforesaid Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do by this notification declare that the said reserve shall, from and after the thirty-first day of August instant, be appropriated for the purposes of a public recreation-ground under Class III. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, situate in the Town of New Plymouth, and containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north by high-water mark; towards the east by Hobson Street, 300 links; towards the south by Octavius Place, 1635 links; and towards the west by Eliot Street, 250 links.

Notifying Land in Southland for Sale by Public Auction.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and one, as the time at which the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such land.
