Land brought within the Jurisdiction of the Native Land Court.
RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of August, 1901.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the ownership of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto requires to be ascertained, and it is also necessary to determine the relative shares or interests of the Native owners of the said land:
And whereas it is expedient that the several matters should be brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court in order that the same may be effectively dealt with:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fifteenth section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the investigation and determination of the ownership of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the relative shares or interests of any Natives therein, and also the determination of any matter or question which may arise in relation to the premises, or which it shall be necessary to determine for the purpose aforesaid, shall be and the same are hereby brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court established under the said Act.
And it is hereby further declared that this Order shall take effect on and after the seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and one.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 27 acres 1 rood 1 perch, be the same more or less, situated in the District of Wellington, and being the land known as Subdivision 7 of Section 19, Hutt District.

Recreation-ground at Kaikoura brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Marlborough Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 19 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section No. 410, Town of Kaikoura. Bounded towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 411, 299, Deal Street, and Sections 318 and 319, 194·3 links, 228·8 links, 334·9 links, 303·5 links, 765 links, 303·5 links, and 471·1 links; towards the east by Beach Road, 26·7 links, 1019 links, and 566·1 links; towards the south by Killarney Street, 1210·2 links; and towards the west by New Street, 788·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim.

Placing Road in Te Korokoro Settlement under the Control of the Borough of Petone.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of August, 1901.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and section six of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the road in the Te Korokoro Settlement known as the Korokoro Road, described in the Schedule below, and which was constructed by the Governor under the powers contained in “The Public Works Act, 1894,” shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Council of the Borough of Petone.

Sale of Land under “The Public Works Act, 1894.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of August, 1901.

WHEREAS by the twenty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act: And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Napier Borough Council, accompanied by a map, setting forth that there is vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Napier, for quarry purposes, certain land—viz., Lot 32 of Suburban Section No. 81, Town of Napier: And whereas the said piece of land is not now required by the said borough for quarry purposes or otherwise, and the said borough desires to sell the same:
