THE leases of the under-mentioned lots will be offered by public auction, at the Public Hall, Waitotara, on Wednesday, the 10th July, 1901, at 1 o’clock p.m.

Term: Fourteen years.
The following improvements go with the sections: Sections 106 to 109, &c., 5 chains of fencing, £2 10s.; Sections 118 to 121, &c., 28½ chains wire fencing, £14 5s.; Sections 122 to 127, &c., 13 chains wire fencing, £6 10s.; Sections 62 to 65, &c., 14 chains wire fencing, £7; Sections 66 to 71, &c., 15 chains wire fencing and 4 chains ditch-and-bank, £9 10s.; Sections 11 to 13, &c., 7½ chains wire fencing, £3 15s.
These sections are situated in Richardson Village, in the Momahaki District, about two miles from Momahaki Creamery. The access is from Waverley and Waitotara, which are about eight miles distant by a good dray-road.
All the sections comprise flat land in grass; Sections 11, 12, &c., are slightly undulating. The soil is of good quality, being loam resting on a sandstone formation. There is no water on any of these lots.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

A deposit of six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with lease-fee of £1 1s., must be paid on the fall of the hammer.

Possession will be given on the 1st of July, 1901.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or of any portion of it, by giving twelve months’ notice to the lessee thereof of his intention to do so.

The purchaser of the lease of Sections 66 to 71, &c., area 2 acres 2 roods, on payment of an additional lease-fee of £1 1s., will receive a temporary lease authorising him to occupy from year to year Sections 92 and 93, area 2 roods, which are reserved for public buildings. This temporary lease will be subject to three months’ notice of determination in the event of either Section 92 or 93 or both of them being required for public purposes. If they are resumed by the Crown, the annual rental payable will be proportionately reduced.

The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed on the land, or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in this lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land comprised in his lease; and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within sixty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

THE under-mentioned Crown land will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” on Monday, 22nd July, 1901.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned Crown land will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity as workmen’s homes, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, and the Land Office, Timaru, on Monday, the 29th July, 1901.
