Notice of Cancellation of Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application
on that behalf made to me by the Christchurch
Saddle-, Harness-, and Collar-makers' Industrial Union of
Workers, registered No. 111, situated at Christchurch, the
registration of that industrial union will be cancelled at the
expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within
the six weeks specified proceedings be commenced by a
member or other person interested in or having some claim
on the funds of the industrial union to set aside such can-
cellation, and the same is set aside accordingly.

Crown Lands Notices.

Pastoral Runs in Amuri County for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 15th January, 1901.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned pas-
toral runs will be offered for lease by public auction,
at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on
Tuesday, the 26th February, 1901, at 12 noon.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT. — AMURI COUNTY. — SKIDDAW,
MYTHOLM, TEKOA, AND MANDAMUS SURVEY DISTRICTS.
(Pastoral license under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”)

These runs are situated at the head-waters of the George
and Mandamus Rivers and the Gorge Stream, between the
Glynn Wye Run on the west, the Glens of Tekoa Run on
the south, and the Pahau Run on the east, at a distance of
about fifteen miles westward from Upper Waiau, and com-
prise very rough and mountainous country, ranging in eleva-
tion from about 1,570 ft. to about 5,600 ft. above sea-level,
difficult of access, and involving considerable risks of work-
ing, although the country carries good summer pasture.

In the event of either of the runs not being sold at auction,
they will immediately thereafter be open for application at
the upset annual rentals specified above.

CONDITIONS.

  1. Possession of the runs will be given to the purchasers of
    the licenses on the 1st March, 1901, or on approval of applica-
    tion by the Land Board.

  2. No person or company may become the holder of more
    than one run under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892”:
    Provided that the holder of any run under the said Act of a
    carrying-capacity of less than ten thousand sheep or two
    thousand head of cattle may become the lessee of an aggre-
    gate area sufficient to carry such a number of sheep or
    cattle. The holder of any small grazing-run under Part V.
    of “The Land Act, 1892,” shall not be the holder of any
    run under Part VI. of the said Act.

  3. The licenses shall be dated on the 1st March, 1901, or
    on the 1st March next following the date of selection.

  4. The licenses shall be subject to the following conditions
    amongst others:—

(1.) That, if the licensee or any person claiming an
interest through or under him shall make or
cause to be made any agreement or contract,
or shall give or cause to be given or taken any
negotiable security, for the purpose of defeating
or evading the provisions of, or shall in any way
whatsoever directly or indirectly commit or be
privy to a fraud upon, “The Land Act, 1892,” the
license shall be liable to be forfeited and revoked;

(2.) That the licensee shall prevent the destruction or
burning of timber or bush on the land comprised
in the license;

(3.) That the licensee shall prevent the growth or
spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the
land comprised in the license, and shall with all
reasonable speed remove or cause to be removed
all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, or other noxious
weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Com-
missioner; and

(4.) That the licensee shall destroy all rabbits on the
land comprised in the license, and shall prevent
their increase or spread, to the satisfaction of the
Commissioner or an officer appointed by him to
inspect the ground.

  1. The licensee shall have the exclusive right of pasturage
    over the lands specified in his license, but shall have no
    right to the soil or timber or minerals thereon or therein.

  2. One half-year’s rent, a license-fee of £1 1s., and the
    amount of valuation for improvements, shall be paid on the
    fall of the hammer, and the purchaser shall make a declara-
    tion in terms of section 195 of “The Land Act, 1892.” The
    rent shall be paid half-yearly in advance on the 1st day of
    March and the 1st day of September in each year during
    the term of the license. Should the half-yearly rental at
    any period not be paid within thirty days, a penalty of 10
    per cent. in addition will be enforced.

  3. No liability is accepted by or on behalf of the Crown in
    respect of any fencing existing upon the Crown lands offered
    for license.

DECLARATION.

I, , of , , do solemnly and sincerely
declare—

  1. That I am the person who, subject to the provisions of
    “The Land Act, 1892,” am desirous of becoming the pur-
    chaser of a lease or license of pastoral lands.

  2. That I am purchasing the lease or license of such lands
    solely for my own use and benefit, and not directly or in-
    directly for the use or benefit of any other person or persons
    whomsoever.

  3. That I am not the holder of any lease or license in any
    part of the colony, nor have I any interest in any lease or
    license in contravention of section 193 of the said Act.

  4. That I am not the holder of a small grazing-run in any
    part of the colony, nor have I any interest in any such run.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously be-
lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices
of the Peace Act, 1882.”

Small Grazing-run, Auckland Land District, open for Selection.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 9th January, 1901.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
small grazing-run will be open for application at this
office on Monday, the 25th February, 1901, at the rental
stated.

In the event of more than one application being received
on the same day, the right to select will be decided by ballot
on the following day, at 11 a.m.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—COROMANDEL COUNTY.
HARATAUNGA SURVEY DISTRICT, BLOCKS V. AND VI.: Small
grazing-run No. 27, 2,560 acres, Auckland Museum Endow-
ment or Waikanae Block. Half-yearly rental, £16. Term
of lease, twenty-one years from 1st March, 1901.

Broken pastoral land; forest and open; clay soil, medium
quality and well watered. Situated between Cabbage Bay
and Waikawau Bay, and within a mile of each bay.

The lease will be under Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892.”
Forms of application and poster plans obtainable at this
office.
