Notifying Names of Persons elected to serve as Members of
the Waiariki District Maori Land Council.

IN pursuance of a writ under the hand of His Excellency
the Governor, bearing date the 4th day of March, 1901,
and issued under the provisions of “The Maori Lands Ad-
ministration Act, 1900,” and the regulations thereunder, it
is hereby notified that the under-mentioned persons were
nominated as candidates for the election of three members
to serve on the Waiariki District Maori Land Council, as
constituted by the said Act, and that at an election held on
the 17th day of May, 1901, in compliance with the said writ,
they each polled the number of votes set opposite their
names, as shown hereunder, viz.:

  2. Wikiriwhi te Tuaaha .. .. .. 777
  3. Pouawha Meihana .. .. .. 773
  4. Tiweka Anaru .. .. .. 702

Haerehuka, Wikiriwhi te Tuaaha, and Pouawha Meihana

elected members of the Waiariki District Maori Land
Council.

the Governor, bearing date the 4th day of March, 1901,
and issued under the provisions of “The Maori Lands
Administration Act, 1900,” and the regulations thereunder,
it is hereby notified that the under-mentioned persons were
nominated as candidates for the election of three members
to serve on the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Council, as
constituted by the said Act, and that at an election held on
the 17th day of May, 1901, in compliance with the said writ,
they each polled the number of votes set opposite their

Administration Act, 1900,” and the regulations thereunder,
it is hereby notified that the under-mentioned persons were
nominated as candidates for the election of three members
to serve on the Aotea District Maori Land Council, as con-
stited by the said Act, and that at an election held on the
17th day of May, 1901, in compliance with the said writ,
they each polled the number of votes set opposite their
names, as shown hereunder, viz.:

Notifying Persons elected to serve as Members of Te Ikaroa
District Maori Land Council.

IN pursuance of a writ under the hand of His Excellency
the Governor, bearing date the 4th day of March, 1901,
and issued under the provisions of “The Maori Lands
Administration Act, 1900,” and the regulations thereunder,
it is hereby notified that the under-mentioned persons were
nominated as candidates for the election of three members
to serve on Te Ikaroa District Maori Land Council, as con-
stited by the said Act, viz.:

  1. Hoani Paraone Tunuiarangi.
  2. Rupuha te Hianga.
  3. Mohi te Atahikoa.

And, further, it is hereby declared that the said Hoani Para-
one Tunuiarangi, Rupuha te Hianga, and Mohi te Atahikoa
(being the only persons so nominated) have been duly
elected members of Te Ikaroa District Maori Land Council.

Tenders for Letter-carriers’ and Telegraph Messengers’
Uniforms, including Caps and Helmets.

General Post Office,
Wellington, 6th June, 1901.

TENDERS will be received at the General Post Office,
Wellington, until Friday, the 28th June, for the
manufacture within the colony, from New-Zealand-made
material, of letter-carriers’ uniforms — namely, tunic,
trousers, riding-trousers, overcoat, and overcoat with cape;
and for caps, helmets, and felt hats.

The term of contract to be for three years, from the
1st July, 1901, to the 30th June, 1904.

Samples may be seen at all Chief Post-offices, where also
specifications and form of tender may be obtained.

Tenders will at the same time be received for uniforms
and overcoats for telegraph messengers, samples of which
may be seen at any of the principal telegraph-offices.

Tenders quoting price for each garment, accompanied by
samples of material, to be addressed to the Hon. the Post-
master-General, General Post Office, Wellington, and in-
dorsed outside “Tender for uniforms.”

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Notice published pursuant to the Provisions of Section 15 of
“The Public Trust Office Consolidation Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken
out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in
the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election
to administer the several intestate estates of the persons
deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far
as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross
properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Bernadine de Fouseca, alias James Foucaer, late of
Moonie Bay, Great Barrier Island, in the Provincial District
of Auckland, settler. Filed on the 7th day of June, 1901.

Ellen Cotter, late of Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland,
