I, WALTER WILLIAM MOORE, late of Dunedin,
Otago, and now of Temuka, Canterbury, New Zealand, a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery of the University of New Zealand, hereby give notice that I have, on the 20th of April, 1901, deposited evidence of my qualifications with the Registrar at Christchurch, and that I shall apply to the Registrar under the Medical Practitioners Act of New Zealand, 1869, on the 21st day of May, 1901.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and its amendments; and in the matter of the Waitotara Public Hall Company (Limited) (unregistered).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above company by the Supreme Court was, on the 25th day of April, 1901, presented to Charles Cargill Kettle, Esq., Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the Judicial District of Wellington, located at Wanganui, by William Brewer Emerson, James Wilson, and Alfred Walton Curry, of Waitotara aforesaid, contributors of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before the said Charles Cargill Kettle, Esq., acting under the powers conferred on him by Proclamation under "The Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Acts Amendment Act, 1893," published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82, on the 2nd day of November, 1893, at page 1557, and all other powers in that behalf him enabling, at his chambers, Supreme Court House, Wanganui, on Monday, the 13th day of May, 1901, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The best age for entrance is between six and seven.
The full charge for board and education is Β£40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.--The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Public a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
