Inspectors of Machinery appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested by “The Inspection of Machinery Act, 1882,”

ARCHIBALD WALKER and
ARTHUR CALVERT

have been appointed Inspectors of Machinery for the Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough, Nelson North, Nelson South, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland Districts.

Engineer Surveyors and Examiners of Engineers appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested by “The Shipping and Seamen’s Act, 1877,”

ARCHIBALD WALKER and
ARTHUR CALVERT

have been appointed Inspectors and Surveyors and Engineer Surveyors for the purposes of the said Act, and also Examiners of Candidates for Certificates of Competency as Engineers of Sea-going Steamships or of Steamships plying within Restricted Limits.

Wakatipu Mounted Rifle Volunteers,
with headquarters at Arrowtown ;

Cheviot Mounted Rifle Volunteers,
with headquarters at Mackenzie ;

Ranfurly Rifle Volunteers,
with headquarters at Napier ;

Canterbury Native Rifle Volunteers,
with headquarters at Christchurch.

Acceptance of all the above corps to date from the 10th September, 1900.
