The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Saturday in each month, at half-past seven o’clock p.m., at the Schoolhouse, Waione, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Saturday, the ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Saturday in February in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres, more or less, being Section No. 14, Block III., Mount Cerberus Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 1; towards the east by Alfredton–Weber Road; and towards the west by Section No. 2: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1900.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was permanently set apart as a waterworks reserve on the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine: And whereas the said reserve is for one of the purposes comprised in Class I. of the Schedule to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient to change the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby order and direct that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed from a waterworks reserve to a public recreation reserve.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Rural Section No. 43, Block II., Waiopenu Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by Horowhenua East Road; on the south-east by Section No. 44; on the south-west by Section No. 44; and on the north-west by Section No. 41: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Exchange of a Reserve in Canterbury for other Land.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1900.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto was permanently set apart as a plantation reserve: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the fifteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, under the authority of section one hundred and sixty-nine of “The Land Act, 1892,” fixing the terms and conditions upon which certain village-settlement lands therein enumerated should be disposed of, it was provided by clause ten of the regulations that the maximum area that could be held by a lessee of lands in Makarewa Village Settlement was twenty acres:
And whereas it is expedient to allow any settler in the village settlement of Makarewa to hold such additional area as with his present holding shall make a total of not exceeding thirty acres in extent :
