HAMILTON, BURRY, AND CO. (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of Hamilton, Burry, and Co. (Limited), held at the office of the company, Albert Street, Auckland, on the 15th day of November, 1900, and were confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting, of which notice was duly given, held at the office of the company, Albert Street aforesaid, on the 7th day of December, 1900, by the majorities at each such meeting respectively required by section number 86 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” to constitute the same a special resolution, namely :—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882.”
  2. That Mr. Robert Henry Wynyard be appointed the Liquidator of the said company under the provisions of the above Act.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and the several Acts amending the same, “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,” “The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899,” and “The Public Works Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the extension of Elizabeth Street from Brougham Street to Kent Terrace, such extension to be sixty-six feet wide; and also proposes, under the like provisions, to take, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and the buildings erected thereon. And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, is deposited in the public office of the City Engineer to the said Council, situate at the corner of Featherston Street and Panama Street, in the said city, and is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the said City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at the offices of such Council, situate in Brandon Street, in the same city.

“THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1886,”
“THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894.”

IN pursuance of the provisions of the above Acts, “The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland” hereby gives notice that it intends to construct Waterworks, and thereby obtain an auxiliary water-supply for the City of Auckland from the Nihotupu Stream and Quinn’s Creek, and for that purpose to take the water from such streams, and to form and construct reservoirs and a water-race or pipe-track from the said streams to the said city; and that for the purpose and object aforesaid the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required, and will require to be taken by the said Corporation under the provisions of the above Acts, and that a survey has been made and plans prepared, signed by H. Munro Wilson, numbered 11895¹ and 11895², showing such lands, together with the names of the owners and occupiers thereof, so far as they can be ascertained, and that copies of such plans have been deposited in the office of the Town Clerk of the said Corporation, at the Corporation Offices, Coburg Street, in the City of Auckland, the place directed by the Corporation, and are there open for inspection; and that all persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the 22nd day of December, 1900, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Auckland.
