Additional Land in Arowhenua Survey District taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, to take further land in Arowhenua Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway to take further land in Ikitara Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

ERRATA.—In the Warrant declaring it unlawful to take oysters in a part of the Southern Subdivision of the Northern Oyster-fishery, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 31, of the 28th March, 1901, page 779, in the last line read “Wm. Hall-Jones” in place of “Alex. Willis.” In notice of the laying-off of road through Mangakahia Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Blocks, Mangakahia Survey District, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 31, of 28th March, page 781, for the word “Wellington,” after the Schedule, in each case read “Auckland.”
