Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act, the assessed value of the said land being less than £100.
Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1901.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 16 on deposited plan 244, and being also part of Rural Section 11129, District of Malvern, sometimes called “Kowai District,” in the Provincial District of Canterbury.
Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act, the assessed value of the said land being less than £100.

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment 173, Section II., Town of Opotiki, in the Provincial District of Auckland. The Crown-grantee is Benjamin Palmer, described as being a corporal in the 1st Regiment of Waikato Militia.
Also,
To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment 174, Section II., Town of Opotiki aforesaid. The Crown-grantee is John Thornton, described as being a private in the 1st Regiment of Waikato Militia.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owners of either of the above-described lands are, and believes that such owners respectively are not in the colony:
Now, this notice calls upon such owners respectively, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee their titles respectively to the lands respectively specified in this notice; and, if such owners do not, within the time limited, so establish their or either of their titles, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” in respect of both the said parcels of land, or such one of them as to which the owner shall not appear.
