Appointing Day for closing under “The Shops and Shop-Assistants Act, 1894.”
RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of February, 1901.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the local authority of the Borough of Tapanui, being duly authorised by “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894,” to appoint by special resolution, in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and one, the day on which shops in the said borough are to be closed in accordance with the said Act, has failed so to appoint a day:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said Borough of Tapanui, in accordance with the said Act.

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Saturday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said town district, in accordance with the said Act.

Fixing Sitting of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of February, 1901.

The Honourable W. C. Walker presiding in Council.
WHEREAS by “The Court of Appeal Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Court shall hold its sittings at such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon Monday, the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and one, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.
