PIRITARAU NO. 1B.

WHEREAS by an interim decree of the Validation Court dated the 28th day of February, 1899, it was ordered and declared that William Milner, as assign of Sir George Whitmore, is entitled to an estate in fee-simple in possession in all that piece of land, containing in the aggregate two acres, more or less, known as Piritarau No. 1B, of the undivided shares formerly held by the under-mentioned persons,

Hera Heihi,
Eru Hauraki,

Wi Haereroa, and
Te Raana te Ao,

being four-fifths of the area of the said two acres:

And whereas it was also ordered and declared by the said interim decree that Thomas Reedy, as the assign of the said Sir George Whitmore, is entitled to an estate in fee-simple in possession in the said Piritarau No. 1B Block, being one-fifth of the said two acres, and being the undivided shares formerly held by William Baker Milner and Elizabeth Milner, as successors to Rawinia Mirina:

And whereas it was directed by the said interim decree that the Native Land Court should apportion the respective shares and interests claimed by William Milner and Thomas Reedy:

Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the direction contained in the said interim decree, the Native Land Courts will, during the sitting herein notified, ascertain, according to the requirements of section 24 of “The Native Land Validation of Titles Act, 1893,” and the course and practice of the Native Land Court, the land to be apportioned for the said interests as aforesaid.

REFERENCE under Section 49 of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895,” referred by the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court for Inquiry.

674 Matarau No. 5 Whereas, on the 20th February, 1889, the land then known as Matarau No. 2 was divided by the Native Land Court into three parcels, then named Matarau Nos. 3, 4, and 5: And whereas the under-mentioned original owners of the said Matarau No. 2 Block were not included in any of the division orders made upon the said division—namely, Renata te Wera, Raihana Mauhana, Paratene Katua, Rawiri Tawiri, Tarati Wharekura, and Wereta Hakore: And whereas Papi Kakatarau, who was not an original owner nor a successor to a deceased owner, was, upon the said division, included as an owner in Matarau No. 5: The Court will, during the sitting hereby notified, inquire into the matters hereinabove mentioned, and make such report thereon as to the Court may seem fit.
