Lands set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the lands described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

As the same are delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 39770, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Powers delegated to the Puniu Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1901.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the second day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the lands hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Puniu Domain Board, namely,—

WILLIAM JOHNS,
ROBERT CUNNINGHAM,
PATRICK O’CONNOR, and
MICHAEL TURNEY
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—
ERRATUM.—In Schedule to Proclamation under section 13, “The Land Act, 1892,” taking land for road in Block XV., Mangawhero, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 4, page 53, of the 10th January, 1901, for “89” in second column read “88,” opposite area 3a. 2r. 21p.
