Appointing Time for First Election of Members of Nelson Harbour Board, and Time and Place for First Meeting of Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section nine of “The Nelson Harbour Board Act, 1900,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, by Proclamation, appoint a day not exceeding thirty days after the date of such Proclamation for the election of the members of the first Board, and also shall appoint the day for the first meeting of the Board:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, do hereby proclaim and appoint Wednesday, the twentieth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and one, to be the day for the election of the members of the first Board, and Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and one, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, to be the day, and the City Council Chambers at Nelson to be the place, for the first meeting of the Board.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Rule under “The Supreme Court Act, 1882.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1901.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the thirty-first section of “The Supreme Court Act, 1882,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and with the concurrence of his Honour the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and of his Honour Mr. Justice Edwards, a Judge of the said Court, doth hereby make the following rule, and declare that such rule shall take effect on and after the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette:—
CLOSING OF COURT AND OFFICES.
The Supreme Court, and the offices thereof, throughout the colony shall be closed on Saturday, the second day of February next, on the occasion of the funeral of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria.

Regulations respecting the Creation, Issue, and Redemption of Discount-stamps.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the sixth section of “The Trading-stamps Abolition and Discount-stamps Issue Act, 1900,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto for the creation and issue of adhesive stamps called “discount-stamps” for the purposes of the said Act, and also for the redemption of such stamps on presentation at any money-order office, and, further, for the audit of such stamps, and of the accounts relating thereto.
SCHEDULE.

The regulations governing the creation and issue of adhesive stamps, and also the audit thereof, as set forth in the Schedule to an Order in Council dated the 25th day of June, 1895, shall, so far as they are applicable, also govern the creation and issue of discount-stamps.

Discount-stamps shall be of one denomination only—namely, one farthing—and they shall be printed in sheets containing 240 stamps in each sheet.

Discount-stamps shall be sold at any Post Office money-order office, in quantities of not less than one complete sheet.

Discount-stamps shall be supplied to Postmasters in charge of money-order offices through their respective Chief Postmasters on requisitions which must be made on forms to be provided for the purpose. Chief Postmasters will obtain their supplies from the Secretary of Stamps on requisition being made therefor.

Discount-stamps will be redeemed at their face-value at any money-order office if presented in quantities of the value of one shilling, or any multiple thereof. Prior to presentation they must be affixed to the special form provided for the purpose, a supply of which may be obtained at any Post Office money-order office. Discount-stamps which have been obliterated, defaced, or mutilated in any way will not be redeemed.
