Valuations for improvements in respect to the above runs must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Dunedin, before the licensee will be let into possession. Such valuations shall, exclusive of the value of a rabbit-proof fence, in no case exceed three times the amount of the average annual rental paid under the expired or expiring license during the term thereof, and five times such amount in cases where the annual rental does not exceed £50. The above runs will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.” Purchasers must deposit statutory declarations required by section 195 of “The Land Act, 1892,” and pay the first half-year’s rent, together with license-fee (£1 1s.), on fall of the hammer.
