Valley Road, which is formed as a dray-road to within about eleven miles of the block. Access may also be had from Eltham, via the Rawhitiroa Road, distant about fifty-two miles, twenty of which have been opened for dray traffic, eleven miles being metalled; the remainder of the Rawhitiroa Road has been opened for horse traffic to its junction with the Waitotara Valley Road.

Terms of Sale.
One-fifth of the purchase money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee, within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
There are no restrictions or limitations imposed on the purchasers of these sections other than above mentioned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned small grazing-run will be open for application at this office on Monday, the 25th February, 1901, at the rental stated.
In the event of more than one application being received on the same day, the right to select will be decided by ballot on the following day, at 11 a.m.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—COROMANDEL COUNTY.
HARATAUNGA SURVEY DISTRICT, BLOCKS V. AND VI.: Small grazing-run No. 27, 2,560 acres, Auckland Museum Endowment or Waikanae Block. Half-yearly rental, £16. Term of lease, twenty-one years from 1st March, 1901.
Broken pastoral land; forest and open; clay soil, medium quality and well watered. Situated between Cabbage Bay and Waikawau Bay, and within a mile of each bay.
The lease will be under Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892.” Forms of application and poster plans obtainable at this office.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to noon on Thursday, the 28th February, 1901, for the leases of the under-mentioned reserves.
In the event of no tender being received at the time named for either of the lots, they will remain open for lease on application at the upset rentals and for the terms stated herein.

These reserves are situated on the western side of the Whiterock River, at the foot of the eastern slope of Mount Nimrod, about four miles and a half southward from the Cannington Homestead, and about eleven miles south-westward from Cave Railway-station. They comprise stony terrace land and river-flats, with native vegetation.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Tenders must be accompanied by marked cheque or money-order for the amount of six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease-fee.

Possession will be given on the day of acceptance of tender.

The leases will be for the terms stated in the Schedule.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or any portion thereof, by giving to the lessee twelve months’ notice in writing of his intention so to do.

The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed upon the land, nor on account of the aforesaid resumption, nor for any other cause.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land comprised in the lease except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The land shall be used for grazing purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped without the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
