Boundaries of the Borough of Motueka extended.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may at any time, upon the petition of the Mayor and Council of a borough, publicly notified, by a Proclamation, alter the boundaries of such borough so as to include therein any land which ought reasonably to be included in such borough: And whereas a petition has been presented to me by the Mayor and Councillors of the Borough of Motueka praying me to alter the boundaries of the said borough so as to include therein the piece of land described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which ought reasonably to be included in the said borough:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said borough are hereby altered so as to include within the limits of the said borough the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and that the said borough shall henceforth be bounded as specified in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA.
SECTIONS 121, 122, 123, parts of Section 9, and part of Section 187, all of Block III., Motueka Survey District.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA.—EXTENDED BOUNDARIES.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section No. 234, Block VII., Motueka Survey District, and proceeding thence in a due easterly direction to the Moutere Mud-flat, at the south-eastern corner of Section No. 1 of 173 of the said Block VII.; thence in a generally north-easterly direction by the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 1 of 173, 3 of 173, 170, 2 of 170, and 169, to the southern boundary of Section No. 144, Block IV., of the said survey district; thence in an easterly direction to the sea-beach at the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 144; thence in a generally northerly direction along the line of high-water mark to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 29 of the said Block IV.; thence in a westerly direction to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 129 of the said Block IV.; thence in a northerly direction to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 126 of the said Block IV.; thence in a westerly direction to the south bank of the Motueka River; thence in a generally southerly and westerly direction, along the south bank of the present course of the Motueka River (including the islands in the said river), to the western boundary of Section No. 215, Block III., of the said survey district; and thence in a due southerly direction back to starting-point at the south-west corner of said Section No. 234: excluding from the above-described area the Motueka Wharf.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1900,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that
JAMES ALEXANDER PARK,
of Dunedin, auctioneer, has been duly elected a member of the Board of Conciliation for the Otago and Southland Industrial District, vice George L. Sise, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one.
