Additional Land taken in Turanganui and Waimata Survey Districts for the Purposes of the Gisborne-Karaka Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Gisborne-Karaka Railway to take further land in Turanganui and Waimata Survey Districts, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE several parcels of land mentioned hereunder:—

All in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 19631, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured blue and red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Trustees for the Ratanui Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

PERCY SHAW,
HUGH McMASTER, and
WILLIAM HARRINGTON

to be Trustees, in the place of Walter Carlton, deceased, George Ward Draper, resigned, and Richard Bohim Berney, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Ratanui Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and one.

Trustee for the Nile Hill Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JOHN GEORGE HARTILL

to be a Trustee, in the place of George Moore, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Nile Hill Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and one.

to be a Trustee, in the place of James Tozer, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of Te Kapa Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and one.
