NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned lands
will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at
this office, on Tuesday, the 7th January, 1902, under the
provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation
Act, 1900,” and its amendments.
Applicants will be examined by the Land Board on Wed-
nesday, the 8th January, 1902, at 10 a.m.
If more than one application is received for the same sec-
tion, a ballot will be held on the 8th January, 1902, at
2 p.m.

in the Oue State Forest (Hobson and Whangarei
Counties) will be offered for lease for grazing purposes, by
public auction, for a term of fourteen years, at the upset
annual rentals noted, at this office, on Friday, the 24th day
of January, 1902, at 11 a.m.

Term of Leases.

Fourteen years from 1st March, 1902, for grazing pur-
poses only. One half-year’s rent and lease fee (£1 1s.) to be
paid on fall of the hammer.

The leases will convey no right to fell or remove any live
or dead trees or timber, whether standing or lying on the
ground.
No compensation for improvements at any time, but
lessees may remove all fencing and buildings erected on the
lands.
The leases will be subject to the conditions of section 232
of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Crown lands in Hatuma Settlement will be open for
selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Monday,
30th December, 1901, under the provisions of “The Land
for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and its amend-
ments.
In the event of more than one application being received
for the same section on the same day, the order of selection
will be decided by ballot on the following day.

Being portion of Mr. S. Johnston’s Oruawharo Estate,
situated on the main road, five miles and a half from Taka-
pau Railway-station, and four miles and a half from Wai-
pukurau Village and Railway-station. It is flat agricultural
land, at present down in English and native grasses. It is
well watered by the Maharaeke Stream. The boundary on
main road and between the sections is fenced, also the south
boundary of Section 7, and there is also some fencing on the
Maharaeke Stream. There is a small plantation on Sec-
tion 8, and a few acres of swamp, which is partly drained.
