OFFICIAL NOTICES.
Copies of Drawings.
COPIES, by the helio. process, of drawings accompanying applications for Letters Patent may be obtained from the Patent Office at 1s. a sheet.
In order to secure the satisfactory reproduction of drawings, strict compliance is necessary with the following requirements of No. 4 of the “Additional Patents Regulations” :—
One copy of the drawings must be on blue transparent linen or tracing-cloth, 13 in. by 8 in. or 13 in. by 16 in., with a marginal line ½ in. or 1 in. from the edge. All the lines must be absolutely black, Indian ink of the best quality being used, and the same strength of colour of the ink maintained throughout the drawing. Any shading must be in lines clearly and distinctly drawn, and as open as is consistent with the required effect. Section-lines should not be too closely drawn. No colour must be used for any purpose upon the drawing, and all letters and figures of reference must be bold and distinct. The drawings must not be folded, but be delivered at the Patent Office either in a perfectly flat state, or rolled upon a roller or in a stiff case, so as to be free from creases or breaks.
The signature must be in perfectly black ink, and no other writing, impressions of stamps, or the like ought to appear on any part of the sheet.

Forms of Application for Letters Patent, Provisional Specification, Complete Specification (with copy), may also be obtained at all local Patent Offices and Money-order Offices.

Annual Lists of Letters Patent and Letters of Registration applied for, and Particulars of Applications lapsed and Patents lapsed, from 1880 to 1888, inclusive.
