Six miles (by unformed road) to the main road, thence twenty-four miles to Kaikoura. Two miles and a quarter of the east boundary is fenced with seven wires and standards. Weighted with £31, half value of 66 chains of boundary-fencing.

Seven miles and a half (by unformed road) to the main road, thence twenty-four miles to Kaikoura. About three miles of south-east boundary is fenced with standards and seven wires.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Native Land Court certificate of title bearing date the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, and now contained in partition order of the Native Land Court bearing date the nineteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant and partition order on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 17 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, known as Kaiti No. 313, Section 2r, held under partition order of the Native Land Court, dated the 19th day of March, 1897, in favour of Karaitiana te Eke and three others, and containing the following restrictions: “That the land may be leased for any term not exceeding twenty-one years, but shall be otherwise inalienable, except with the assent of the Governor.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred.

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural lands in the Otago Land District known as Runs Nos. 10, 13, 15, 32, 16, 338A, 430B, 24A, 94, 429, and 429C; and Sections Nos. 66, 67, and 71, Block IV., Table Hill Survey District; 20, Block II., and 4 to 6, Block III., Cairnhill Survey District; and 27 to 30, Block I., Glenorchy Survey District; and 39, Block I., Upper Wakatipu Survey District, as provided by section one hundred and eighty-nine of “The Land Act, 1892,” aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred.
