Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

As the said areas are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 43883, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

Declaring the Approach Road to Pukeuri Railway-station, in the Papakaio Survey District, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of August, 1900.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the road known as the Approach Road to the Pukeuri Station, on the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, situated in the County of Waitaki, and described in the Schedule hereto, and which said road has hitherto been a Government road within the meaning of the said Act, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Otago Land District, in the Papakaio Survey District and County of Waitaki, containing 2 roods 22½ perches, more or less, situate at Pukeuri Station, on the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, being part of Section 140, Block II., in said survey district, and being bounded as follows: On the north-west by the Main North Road, a distance of 50 links; on the south-west by Section 139, a distance of 1284·5 links; on the north-east by a line parallel to and 50 links distant from the last-described boundary, a distance of 1284·5 links; and on the south-east by the Railway Reserve, a distance of 50 links: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked 9231, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
