PUBLIC NOTICE.
I, FRANCIS SIDEY, hereby notify that I have this day withdrawn from the firm of Francis Sidey and Co., Auctioneers, Wellington, New Zealand. I have disposed of the business to Mr. ROBERT PEARSON, formerly of Otago, by whom the business will be carried on on his own account under the same style as heretofore.

IN the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884”; and in the matter of Melville’s New Zealand Corporation (Limited).—Notice is hereby given that the above-named company, incorporated in England under the provisions of the Companies Acts, 1862 to 1893, intends to cease to carry on business in the Colony of New Zealand at the expiration of three months from the 31st day of December, 1899. Dated this 21st day of December, 1899.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.
A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is now published fortnightly, containing all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents, expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
